Inspiring Performances

As an amateur choir we strive to perform to a high standard, working with professional orchestras and soloists and also with promising student soloists from the Royal Northern College of Music. Recent highlights include a performance of Carl Rütti's Requiem in Southwell Minster and a concert with Sinfonia Viva and Braimah and Isata Kanneh-Mason as part of the Nottingham Classics Series in the Nottingham Royal Concert Hall.

Engaging Our Audiences

Regular features are a Come and Sing workshop in the spring, an annual highly acclaimed performance of Handel's Messiah and a well loved Family Carol Concert at the Royal Concert Hall. The choir puts on three other concerts in a typical season, usually in November, March and May.
Members of the choir also take a lead role in the annual Drivetime concert in The Royal Concert Hall with the Hallé orchestra, which includes an opportunity for any member of the public to join the Drivetime Choir and sing in the performance.

Great Choral Music

Our 180 members sing in 4 part harmony but also perform in 8 parts using either a single or double choir format. The Choir’s semi-chorus has been invited to perform for other events such as concerts featuring music from Home Alone and Game of Thrones/Lord of the Rings.

We have a proud record of operating as an independent charity.
