Visit a Rehearsal

Richard Laing, our Music Director, conducting one of our regular Monday night rehearsals. Behind him, seated at the piano, is our Accompanist, Jonathan Allsopp. If you are interested in singing with one of the finest large choirs in the country, or just curious about choral singing, then all you have to do is come along to one of our rehearsals. We meet on Monday evenings, 6.45 – 9 pm, at Emmanuel School in West Bridgford (see map below). Our season runs from September to May each year with concerts in November, December, March and May.

You can attend several rehearsals before a short audition with our Music Director, Richard Laing, and there is no subscription to pay until you have passed your audition. For more information, visit Become a Member.

We aim to be equally welcoming to everyone regardless of background or characteristics. People join us from many different backgrounds and for many different reasons, but all would agree that it's a lot of fun and there is always something new to learn.

For more details about membership, please go to Become a Member.

Profile picture of Cathy Milne, our New Members Secretary. If you plan to come to a rehearsal, it would be appreciated if you contacted Cathy Milne, the New Members Secretary, via the Contact Form or by emailing New Members Secretary.

We will then be prepared to meet you and have music available. Please arrive at 6.30 pm to allow time for this.

The music will need to be returned at the end of your first rehearsal. On your second visit you will be asked to pay a £10 deposit so that you may keep your music until you pass your audition or decide not to continue. The deposit will be returned when you return your music.

Please contact Cathy if you have any questions.
